we moved out of the Laporte area last year, so we haven't been back to Albano's much, but it's pretty damn good food. the garlic cheese bread isn't a difficult dish to pull off but honestly, it's great. just the right amount of garlic and cheese. the pizza sauce they serve with it is delish. it has to be for me to use such a ridiculous word. I mean, who says that anymore? anyway, the pizza is awesome. typically, I'm someone who orders pizzas with extra cheese because I love cheese and it will probably kill me LONG before alcohol (I love beer also) and I don't order it here. we aide their cheese cup runneth over; in a good way. big ole chunks of sausage are the best and they do it right. I haven't had any of their sandwiches but from what I saw on the tables of other patrons, I would like to try. they looked like big servings. service was great, kept our drinks full and no issues. we will return and I suggest you go check it out.

Albano's is like a home away from home. One time, my sister and I picked up Albano's the day that she got arrested for public intoxication when she was 14. Another time, I had a really good date. We were going to go to Enzo's but it was closed so we ended up at Albano's. Then we went to a corn maze and stuff. They have a really good salad here.

A little expensive and the crust was quite thin, but the cheese was good. I'll probably be back.

My husband has been holding out on me for nearly 10 years. His parents live in LaPorte, and he lived there as well when we started dating, so there's been many a time we've gotten pizza - but never from here! We were recently driving back up to visit his folks and wanted to grab something to eat on the way. I wanted to have something besides the usual Papa John's or Pizza Hut, so suggested Albano's since I'd never had it. Wow did this pizza end up being WAY better than all of those. It reminds me of really good pub pizza, the kind that is just a little greasy and goes perfectly with a cold beer...mmm.... Anyhow, when we picked up the pizza I learned that aside from keeping this awesome pizza from me, he also kept an excellent patio from me as well! I had thought LaPorte distinctly lacking in culinary delights, but maybe it's just that my husband has been keeping all of the good places from me! I'm looking at you, Jason B!

The pizza is OK at best. Got a kids cheese and had to scrape off half of it. Waaaay too much greasy cheese! Remember to ask for light cheese unless you like choking. Stromboli? More like sauce infused bread with cheese. And the bread was really hard and kind of burnt. Don't go thru the drive thru for anything but a pizza either, the food is not packaged to travel well. It just soaks up the sauce or gets soggy by the time you're home. We just threw it all in the trash and we live out in the sticks so we aren't going back out for food. Nothing like spending a bunch of money then eating whatever's in the house after all..., I used to work for this place and love the fact that they are home town... I want to support local which is why i keep going back to "try" it out every few years....Unfortunately I won't be back anytime soon.

The best pizza around. I love all of their locations. Also like the tacos. Reasonable prices too.

We love Albano's! Everything is fresh and the staff is very helpful. They make your order EXACTLY like you want it. We love the pizza, meatball sandwich, Stromboli, and taco salad. There is something for every taste,

People who did not grow up in the Midwest might be surprised to learn how good Midwestern pizza can be. Sometimes you'll run into a generous North-easterner who will deign to give a nod to Chicago Style Deep Dish, but that's about it. On the other hand, I grew up in the Michiana Region and every time I'm back home visiting, this is the pizza I crave! If only there was an Albuquerque restaurant that made pizza like this. I always get the house special, a traditional crust (not deep dish) with plenty of sliced tomatoes, roasted green peppers, and canned mushrooms. Yes I know what you're thinking. Canned shrooms?!?! But it works! They are juicy, flavorful, and perfect on this pizza. Add to that some well seasoned hot Italian sausage, pepperoni, a dusting of herbs, all setting on top of thin layer of tomato sauce, and plenty of cheese. The pizza is cut into squares and it's all I can do to tear into it before I get back to my folks place. Oh, yeah. I always get it to go. I've never eaten in, but it's housed in what was a Pizza Hut back in the 80's. This is small town Midwestern pizza at its best!

When I lived and worked in LaPorte, this was my pizza! I couldn't resist eating there multiple times per week. Excellent pizza, fast service, and cheap prices. I usually did carry out-- there are always tons of loud kids in this place.

The pizza here was OK. The service was fast and friendly. The price and value really can't be beat. Thinking back on this pizza, I was kind of saddened at what it could have been. Although it was good, it was so close to being over the top delicious. The crust was simply outstanding. The ingredients could have been a bit more plentiful but there was not too much grease at all. The sauce however was rather bland and disappointed me. All it would take to make this pizza top of the line is some more flavor in the sauce. It came so close!

Stromboli was a soggy hot mess . I won't be going here again anytime soon. Food was so salty I couldn't eat it. Cheese was waaaay too much and greasy. Wish there was a place in LaPorte to eat that was just a little bit good.

Not impressed at all! I have lived in La Porte for 3 years now and like discovering new little place to shop and dine. Since I moved here, I have heard people talk about Albano's Villa and how it's super delicious so I was very excited when my boyfriend suggested we go there for dinner one night as it is within walking distance of our home. Upon arriving, I thought it was unclean as the carpets were fairly dirty and it just looked very outdated and used. Now I don't expect to be eating somewhere that is spic and span but I certainly don't want to see portions of other people's meals on the floor or on the table I am being sat at. The food was incredibly boring and almost tasteless. Their "red sauce" is Hunt's tomato sauce right out of the can and I would be willing to bet some serious money on that! My homemade Italian is far better tasting than our meal was...and I'm IRISH! The service was good, which was nice but that was about the only thing that was pleasurable.
